I'm a little late seeing that I'm just starting on paint, but I've still got a long way to go. Original Henry Ford Steel 27 body, original 1954 331 HEMI, flat tappet complete rebuilt motor that's been in the family forever. It's been in and out of cop storage a number of times from getting impounded due to my grandpas love of drag racing in the streets back in the day. It's got a super T10 ****** and ford currie 9" I'll post more details but here's some pics
Awesome looking build and, yes if you can post up photo's etc of your build I would be ever so thankful.
Count me in and it's never to kate to get the build thread going subscribed.....oh yeah, post lots of pictures for those of us that would rather see the beauty rather than read and imagine it in all of it's glory!
Here's a few more pics. I did all stainless fuel and brake lines with flared AN fittings. I had to custom make radiator hoses to fit around everything, the finished product has a gap to allow vibration movement. There's a couple shots after I set the motor and ******. And the relays under the back lip, inside trunk was something I ended up hiding. I wires those up so I could use 1 bulb tail lights to be used as running lights, brake lights, and turn signals. When you step on the brake, both lights get brighter while the one will still flash. I realize you can buy a harness for this, but this was funner! I added some resistors and LED's just for a quick way to trouble shoot. If the LED is on, then the bulb must be shot, or visa versa. The tail lights were kinda a pain in the **** so I figured the LED's would help out and make things a little easier. Relays consist of 2 12 volt relays wired together, with one diode, some jumpers, landing the incoming wires, and resistor for LED light.
Heres a quick clip of the Hemi idling after some tuning and timing. Short, but sweet. Its loud and sounds awesome
Nice ride Tom! Got a question for you guys. I've got a solid couple coats of epoxy primer on the entire body. Do you guys primer/sealer, base and clear the inside of the car? Where everything will be hidden by the upholstery? Seems like kind of a waste but I want to do it right. Thanks
Here's a pic of the wheels that are on it now, definitely going with 35 ford wheels, just having a hard time getting rid of these
