The short deck Dodges have simular blocks but they are different in details. The 270 has a bigger bore but the same wall thickness. I had a 241 industrial that was apparently a 270 block only bored to a 241. It had thick walls. Good luck on yours. I can't help on what to bore to.

I've aklso heard that the walls are pleanty thick so boring shouldn't be a problem. Like Andy though, I don't have a specific number.

Sadly, this is pretty common anymore, as we are getting down to the bottom of the pile.

The 270 is the same block, but it's engineered to support the bigger bore. That is, you can't bore out a 241 and make it a 270 (.1875"). It will do .060" which is a common rebuild size.

If you have someone locally who can sleave the block, they will probably determine the wall thickness first.

I know I'm fairly far away, but I've got a 270 block here (actually a complete poly motor) that would be perfect to combine with your 241 heads to build a hemi 270. Probably cheaper than getting a junk block sleeved and you'll end up with more cubic inches. $300 if you want it.
