i have a mate here who has a 392 hemi which he is putting in his 41 willy's.
at the moment he has an adapter to fit it to a t350 trans but would really like to run a 4 speed, muncie or toploader.
    is there an adapter available?
if not has anyone made there own?
any advise would be appreciated as hemi stuff doesnt grow on trees here in australia
    thanks craig

Wilcap makes an adapter for it. Kinda pricey but they manufacture one for it. I think there are a couple other companies that do also but I forgot there names...maybe some of the guys on here remember who they are.

Speed Gems who's molds were purchased by Offenhauser made an adapter to bolt the Hemi to a 49-64 Ford Trans. That can be used to bolt the Toploader up. You just need to make sure your toploader has the smaller bolt hole pattern drilled in it, or room to have it drilled. The adapter was still availble from Offy 10 years ago, but I don't know if it still is.

I think some one out there makes an adaptor to run a 5 speed. my son was looking to do that in his 40 willy's PU with a 301 hemi, now he is more thinking about a aod type gm trans tho. contact hot heads, as they may be able to help you along the 4 speed route. i don't think any of them are cheap these day's tho.
