Got the Driveshaft hoop squared up and installed.

 

And a Look from the back of the car. Alot going on =)

 

Lookin' good! What overall width did you settle on for the rear axle WMS to WMS?

 

I will have to take a measurement, it was quite some time ago that i sent the rear end out, so i cant remember the number anymore. When i get a chance i will see if i can get a measurement for you.

 

Got some parts in the mail today. Need the Driveshaft tube yet, and a bunch of damn Clevis's hurry up UPS

 

it was a rough measurement of where i thought the length would end up at.

 

Want to thank the Relix Car Club for having shop night tonight at my place. Made some great progress.

 

Worked late on the car Friday night, been on it all day today, and will be on it tomorrow. .

 

Had to plug a couple of holes, thought this would look cool . =) Just need to clean up the weld

 

Finished out my night by painting some of the rear suspension and the ladder bars. Gold it is!

No, still waiting on some parts. I think if i had 2 more weeks i could make it, but right now its not looking great for Shady Side. I haven't given up, but its pretty slim. Either way i will be there though.

 

Wish I was going with you Buddy,but I don't think I'll be able to make this one

Did some work on the car today. I know, it's Easter, but we weren't eating til 6:30 wife took a cool picture while i was workin on the lightening holes for the seat mounts.

And we have seats...I moved them back about 6" from the original I had planned for them...they look great but now i have to figure out a new shifter handle and the back bars are gonna have to be changed lol

 

With the steering wheel back there it could be a hand full.
Looks like a man on a mission.....Great job!!!

 

I may have to employ a secondary driver, with the new steering location. The potential for a quicker 60' time and all around ET really merits this move though. Better weight distribution etc =0

Just make it so you can get up on the wheel.

 

Hard to believe it took all day to accomplish this, but.... we have rear shocks!!! time for bed im wooped

 

Got the rear wheels straigtened out where they are usable, i would have a pic, but forgot to take one. =( eeching closer every day.

 

Usable is all anyone should ever shoot for.

 

True lol , they were hand drilled so the lug holes where not square anymore. Opended them up about .030 and made spacers. I will try to post a pic

 

Got the front shock top mounts made and mounted today.

 

Also redid the tilt front, The old setup was in the way of my Moon tank and radiator mounts. glad i did. the car lost another 18 pounds. First pic is a before. Last pic is the stuff i pulled off.

 

Well bud, you heading south this weekend? I'm still untested but hoping to get a few runs in at Milan tomorrow if everything works out. If not, hopefully Quain will let me make my first qualifying run a solo p***!

 

No i Wont be at this race or the June one due to scheduling conflicts (and an unfinished car) If all goes well July , Lyons race will be the car debut. Keep me in the loop i would love to meet ya at the track. I just read this or i may have tried to meet ya at Milan. Did you make it? Give me a call tonight if you are able.

 

Redid all the bearings and seals in the front yesterday. Should have been an easy job but couldnt figure out which seals i needed because i wasn't sure which conversion kit the previous owner had went with. I did get it figured out, and now the car is back on all fours. I moved the seat back a little further to hopefully gain some traction, im not as far back as Gabrial Burrel, but its back there lol

 

Car is coming along nicely. You will making noise soon.
