    Late 20s Mopar chassis.
I'm thinking a 250 flathead dual or triple carb, split exhaust.
I'd love find a set of buffalo wires, but I'm not certain my pockets are deep enough yet.
As for the body, boat tail perhaps.

    Only time will tell...

  2. Let’s see now, you’ll need at least 3 97s , split manifold, a pair of Smithy’s ( hey, if you’re gonna build an inline 6 it’s necessary) , 3 speed transmission, Halibrand Q/C rear end, oh and at least legitimate excuse to drive it like you stole it. He he.

Probably are not going to want to keep those wooden spoke wheels, but they do look cool!

The first model A I had, i found it in the middle of the woods at an old clay mine. I was told there was a frame sitting there, and there was, it had been turned into a trailer, but after searching around I found the 4dr sedan body that came off of it. :D

Those wheels would make for a killer facade on a bar front in the man cave.

If you’re curious of the year of the chassis, I bought a set of DB wood spoked wheels 20+ years ago do just tell DB screw on caps. Anyways, I went to the library and ID’d them via two publications. I’m almost sure they were “The standard catalog of light duty cars” and “the standard catalog of light duty trucks”. Within the books, it had the bearing inside and outside dimensions for each year model (of all makes) from real early up through the late ‘30’s if memory serves.

It is later than 1927 if it is a Dodge Brothers. Prior to that they had 6 and 7 lug rims whereas that has 4.

I'd say more like two. Looks like a twin yoke setup to me......

    Hello Mopar brother.
    Pretty heavy duty frame, huh.
You've got front brakes. Mine's a 1926 Dodge and no front brakes. I think yours is 1928 or later.

Regardless of what this chassis turns into, definitely save those vintage wood spoke wheels, maybe use a little Danish oil on the wood spokes to help them come back life.
They are very cool for decorative purposes that you have not thought of, or discovered yet!

Any build that would make use of this chassis, I like.

I have a '27 DB coupe that I have been thinking about later ('33-'53) running gear. My measurements shows a Mopar flathead 218/230 six to be only a 1/2" longer than the stock 4 banger. I have an '50's engine and 3 speed trans and rear axles and a '33 front axle etc that would make a nice driver and still look fairly stock and have about 4 times the horsepower, brakes and steering. All Mopar warm rod.

Well found a casting number, still no help to determine if Chrysler or Plymouth. 3 of the 4 rims are saveable. But the frame has butchered right at the rear axle front spring perch.
