Hey Brett... last one I had a 40' coupe, was more solid than that, ON a FRAME with a seized small block block chevy, orig drive train so it had Hurst adapter plate and motor mount....All I got for it was 2000.......And that was in Salisbury NC... I would thing you wouldnt want to pay more then 500 bucks...unless you need the parts or are cray like me and want to build it

Don't listen to the cheap skates on here......truth is '35-'36 are valuable cars just behind '32 and '33-'34 coupes.

I bought one in Montana that was solid but beat up and had lost of dents as a roller for $3,500 and flipped it on here and made good profit, depending on how rusty it is anything under $3,000 would be a deal.

  3. It's ether a late '35 or '36 (X on the side of the cowl). The rear fenders (if coupes) are worth allot. I've seen over $1000 per fender for nice ones. Deck lid can run just under $1000. So that means if you can score it for under $3K then your doing ok.

The firewall looks to be from a 36 and So-Cal-Tex is correct on what he is saying.

  5. I wish the cheapskates would show me where I can buy exactly like what's pictured for scrap price, or $200, or anything below a grand, so I can buy them by the dozen, bring them home, clean them up a little, and sell them for $2500 and up. Or, as noted, sell the fenders and deck lid and turn just as much or more. I've seen guys sell just the roof from one of these for $1200 before, too.

My buddy had about the same thing, except a '35 and all in one piece, rolling, with a 4-lug 80s Mustang rear stuck under the back. It may have been better than this car - it needed a patch to the left front floor but no other obvious rot issues. He didn't sell it, but ended up swapping for an all original, drivable '37 Olds six coupe, which itself is not a cheap car.

In NC, it may not be able to be put on the road again without a title, but you could certainly re-sell it to a state like New York, where that doesn't mean a darn thing.

  6. Did you see what flamedabone started with? he made an awesome ride out of his. Good luck BMAN

  7. I have seen nearly complete bodies going on the 600 dollar range and complete rollers in the 1500 dollar range w/title, around here. I don't know what they would be worth where you are pricing like hot rods is a sort of a regional thing.

  8. Agreed!

Not to mention that the gut of any deal is how you feal once you see what is there!

Man, are we the support network? You Like! You want it! Buy it! If not move on!!!!!!

  10. Sorry man, but I'll bet dollars to donuts you have a gut feeling about the deal. This is what I'm saying go with the gut, if it's got your name on it, do it. If not, and we all know that feeling, walk away. ;)

The title alone is worth $500. If you put this in a well advertised Auction with other good quality cars, you would all be suprised what this might bring. It only takes two people who want it.
