Ok boyz n gurls, I've been *****ed at on another thread that I didnt give an intro. I thought I did when I first signed up, but I could be mistaken. For starters the names Jason, I'm still a youngin at 26, and I live in Lancaster PA. I've been into old cars mostly from my teenage years on. At the age of 15 my oldest Bro-in-Law asked me if I wanted an old Shoebox he was getting rid of, I ******ed it up like a kid n'candy. That project didnt get too far and I eventually sold it. From that point I told myself I will have and old car to drive someday. Someday started with the purchase of a running driving '59 F-100 when I was 18, and the rest is history. I am now working on my 5th project vehicle, a 1937 Pontiac 4 door slantback. I plan to go "olskool" with it. Flat black, WWW, And some six cylinder motorvation(250/292 I-6) It was originally badged a six banger car and I thought it would be different aside all those SB Chevy mills out there. The stuff I'm into is like any gearhead. Cars of all scales, models, Hotwheels, tools you know the usual. Music wise, you name it, I'll listen till I'm bored with it. My vocation is Machine Trades, I graduated from a two year Vo-Tech course at the same time graduating from High School, and have been in and out of different working enviroments gaining new experience in other fields of my trade. Mills, Lathes, CNC, and most recently MIG welding. Well, that about sums it up, you want to know any more ask...Now about a pic I'll try and lets see what happens
Thanks for atleast acknowledging me Chopped50 The 50 Ford that I had could've been sweet if I'd have held on to it. It was the Custom club coupe version in Hawthorn green metallic, originally a six I had a 239 to go in it. Oh well maybe sometime down the road....I think I still have the back gl*** for it somewhere, sorry just rambling.
Nice intro, O.S. I had a 37 "hump-back" Poncho 4 door that I had planned to make into a pseudo-delivery. I drew it out and still have the illustration under my desk gl*** top. Plenty of art-deco style there. I've seen several '37,2 door slant-backs but this is the first 4 door slant back I've seen. Looks like it could make a fine luxo cruiser. Welcome to the HAMB.
I'm not happy unless I have at least one old Pontiac on the place. This is my present Poncho....a '41 business coupe.
Welcome to the HAMB. Lancaster PA. and you don't look Amish what's up with that? I love the Amish lifestyle they were a big part of my hometown in Sarasota Fla. I like old tools too, my favorite is my "Plierwrench" made in Chicago, one of the most useful tools in my box, would love to find another for a spare.
Welcome to the board, now people know what yer wrenching on and the like. You'll notice other central PA folks on the board too, York, H-burg and surrounding areas. Good luck on your projects, Duck

Welcome. I like your intro and those pix are really kool!!! I'm a grey beard and am always happy when a young un' signs on here. Sounds like you wished you'd kept your shoebox.Don't worry,if you like them that much, you'll have another. You've got time on your side!!!
[ QUOTE ] Ok boyz n gurls, I've been *****ed at on another thread that I didnt give an intro. [/ QUOTE ] Welcome, tough guy. I don't think anyone was *****ing as much because you didn't give an intro. I think it was more the whole "acting like a *****" thing that got everyone riled up. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=435812&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=4&vc=1 Good luck.
Hey Kid, I thought you posted an intro also. But I'm gettin' a little rough around the edges. So welcome, The PknBner
Thanks for the comments everyone. Rocky, the drawings look sweet. I was thinking about sealing up the back doors and doing somthing along those same lines. The more I thought about it the 4 doors fit well with the rest of "the look" I'm goin for. The easy accsess to the back seat is another factor that I dont think I'll wanna lose wink wink . I'll try to keep the ***** acting down to a dull roar, its just gettin brushed off like that sure had me steaming. I vented on OSR at first, then thought this might be another good outlet.... Sorry bout that. As for the local gang, keep an eye out for me next year, I just picked this car up a few month ago and I'm gonna take all fall/winter to do this car up right, then hit the show circut next spring!

Hey Jason. Looks like you're on the right track. Good to see some youngins doin' this stuff. I think I have my 19 year old son, David, hooked. All he can talk about are the old cars that he wants to trick out. I've created a monster! I posted some pictures of his car last night. It's a '64 Valiant wagon gettin' the '60s custom treatment. Later, Michael
