As promised here are the pictures of the polished flathead block that was upstairs at Autorama this year that seemed to cause a few members to scratch their heads. It was polished cast iron and aluminum that was treated to the experienced hands of Glenn Gibbons; owner of RT Custom Polishing. Glenn is by far the best polisher I have ever met. His attention to detail is second only to his passion for his craft. The stand was designed and built by Chuck Miller (He is seen squirting the red on some parts). Here are the build pics in slideshow form... Rob http://s43.photobucket.com/albums/e...er Flathead/?action=view¤t=87012a09.pbw
I've been working on and off for WEEKS trying to polish a stovebolt intake and a couple of little air cleaners. I can't imagine the time and effort that went into that! Seeing that reminds me why I'm doing all this stupid sanding. So thanks, I guess. (I still hate the sanding, lol )
