thanks for all the replys..she is and older lady..she had a newer car,,just hit mine just right and shuved it all over..frame is bent.brother thats a body man just stopped and looked at it..i'm gonna be calling a few body shops to get estimate in the morning...could be worse ..if i didnt notice that she wasnt slowing she would have hit me directly in the drivers door at a impact of 40 -45 mph..

 

was just me... yeah talked at ratster right after it happend..

I'm so sorry to hear about this. Glad you're ok, the car is rebuildable, you're not. As said before, your neck hurts and you feel a lot of pain, remember that. He's a good reason to crack into it and build it better then it ever was

 

Glad everyone is ok… If it were me, I’d sue the ever loving hell out of her. That wasn't an accident, that was flat out negligence, make her ante up for it. What a friggin waste, looks like the body is ok, hopefully you can salvage it…

Here's an idea. Take the frame from the Gasser and put it under the wagon, none gasser style, org frontend. then cut the wagon frame off at the firewall and weld 2x3 tubing from the firewall forward and put the gasser axle on it. Lots of work put at least you'll be able to fix it.

WOW that sucks, I'm glad you weren't hurt. The first new car got totalled two months after I bought with my wife behind the wheel while I was in egypt. That stupid bitch wasn't even looking at the road she was screaming at her kids that were jumping in the back seats. Everybody got hurt to include my wife, thank god nobody was killed. She didn't even have fucking insurance. Shit it makes me mad just looking at you ride. Being a Ford man I have to say that one of my favorite years of chevy. Good luck

It really sucks when things are destroyed due to negligence, because no one comes out ahead. I hope you fix the car, '56s are my favorite Chevys of all time.
