A rainy day for sure today in Chocolate town. Was able to walk the Orange and Wet sorry meant Green fields today and saw a whole lot of wet tarps and wetter people. Here are a few photos I was able to get. BTW: that heavily remodeled ‘36 Ford is a roadster.
Had to say it..... 5 decades ago having heard of the Hershey Legend I was determined to make it when I learned from my sister that she and my absentee father had made the trek. With steam rising from my ears, I said WHY? did you not tell ( invite ) me? Her reason was "You were working" At the time I had a part time Saturday gig pumping Mobil gas for a buddy of mine. Would have meant little to him or my pocket to skip the day. and see my estranged Dad.
Tow Truck Tom: You have a chance to change your future, but no chance to change your past......let it go, life is short.
Hey Hey Thanks guys I'm fine. Just that TagMan hit the nail on the head. HA HA... I've since seen and scored, made friends, and smoked the shoe leather big time at Hershey, since.. That girl has found many more ways to give me pause. Gotta Love Her
I can’t say, however it had a heavily rusted NY license plate from 1955. Definitely. Despite my complaints about the weather I was able to find a few good pieces I needed as well as something to add to the “possible future” department. Also nice to see some people as well.
Ok here are a few more from today. Some rain but much better than Tuesday. Feel free to post your pics as too as I’m not doing a very good job.
Ever wonder how many times a headlight or fender have changed hands over the years and maybe never been installed on a vehicle?
that Stude was something else, a lot of work in it, wonder if it sold. i left wed morning because weather reports said rain all morning. heard it didn't rain much at all. here's my pics from rainy Tuesday. woulda got more but it was hard getting the phone out from under the umbrella, rain gear, coat, bibs etc.
Folks here go a few more from Wednesday beginning with the sun rising on a beautiful day. By the way, is that a 1943 Wolf?
Missed two years due to being non-American but we were set free this year. Paid for Dry Camping got nothing but wet till Thursday. Got to visit with friends and buy parts --- nirvana.
Wifey and I went last year but did not see it all in one day, but with an early start on Wednesday we walked the whole thing .Now our goal was not to just walk it all but we did find quite a few items we were looking for. So back to the walk.We hit every field and believe every aisle .With the fit bit on all day getting back to our car at 5:30 we figured out that in our buying adventure we walked over 32,744 steps which converted to 13.83 miles.Again one time thru. That’s a swap meet. Had a blast ,great memories talked to a few HAMBERS and found a lot of what we were hunting for.
I was there on Wednesday and Thursday. Had a great time hanging with the Irontrap guys. Found some treasures. Saw some old friends. All and all a great time. Snowman ⛄️
2022 Hershey was my first. I saw only a fraction. I will return. My brother bought this 28/29 roadster pickup body Friday morning right before we pulled out.
