If you want to save money, go on Friday...most of the good stuff and good deals will be gone already. :)

Anyone know if its possible to get a spot? You have to be a member of the AACA correct or at this point is it too late?

    Thanks,

    Steve

I can't wait!!!!! I'll be there all week....For me, Hershey ends the summer and the Detriot Autorama ends the winter. Hershey is my favorite hands down. I wish the auction was still on site and free...Oh well.

Is the 'no hot rods and/or parts' still the main rule? Last year that caused a real fiasco...

National AACA headquarters is 717-534-1910. You have to be a Nat'l member and have a Pa. sales tax number. Deadline is Sat. the 20th. I'd say your chances are slim, but you could try.

I've been going since 1973 and have only missed a couple of times and was miserable when I didn't go. Everyone needs to experience Hershey at least once, you'll see things you won't see anyplace else. Sometimes you might find some bargains.

Gonna drive the Lincoln there if it short-dicks every cannibal in the Congo... Planning on driving down late Wed night and spending all day Thursday there.

  14. I remember going there in the late 70's there was just the red and blue fields. Now that I'm 66 yrs young I can only walk 2 fields. Somethings never change .......LOL.it still is the grand daddy of them all. I miss the auction though.

It's from Full Metal Jacket, the scene where Private Pyle is trying to climb an obstacle on the obstacle course.

the scene starts at 3:15 or so, and the line is at 4:08.

I know this movie like the back of my hand.

Sad to say I've never been, but would like to change that this year. Any suggestions on places to stay for a night?

I always say that if you live through walking Hershey in its entirety, you don't need a cardiogram to tell you that your heart's still working.

  22. i remember walking it when it was muddy, no mud anymore! i overheard someone say a few years back that if you walked up and down every isle you would have traveled 26 miles. don't know if that is true, but it feels like it.

The Judging Team even let them give it a shot on the show field, but it wouldn't fire then either. The Documented Hot Rods are judged right along side other Race Cars in class 24A. :)

Be hitting Carlisle then follow up the next week at Hershey. Love fall swaps

  29. Carlisle is a fun start to the Fall flea market season..but Hershey is the apex!!!! I really enjoy meeting people and talking about projects...it really is nice making friendships at these event....last year the the Brazilians were buying up cars at Carlisle and shipping them back south...kinda the opposite of all those cars that came north in the 60's and 70's
