Probably, the Park Side is a biker bar . Good food if you don't look around too hard at the dirt. The wigs have been trying to get rid of it for years.

What exit should I get off coming south on 81? My spots are in the red field. I came the same way for years and will get lost for sure.

RCL 28 29. Come over and say hi.........

37Kid. Are you going to have your HAMB signature sign out?

Yes, The HAMB sign will be looking for members signatures. Same spot as last year C4J-41-42. Brookville trailer is on the other side of me, and the food vendor is across the way.

I would get off at Grantville exit, which is rt.743. I don't know the exit number. Head south, it takes you to Hershey Park dr.

Well now that summer is pretty much over I will begin my count down to Hershey, I hate to count the warm weather away. Fall is in the air in Ohio so that means its almost time for Hershey! 4 weeks from today I'll be walking the fields.....

Birthday, end of Summer, Hershey. Time to make the best HAMB/Hershey map and directory, thanks in advance Megan. Guess a seperate thread would be best, but I'm at C4J 41-42 same as last year, and I'll have a 20011 HAMB Banner for members to sign. The parts parking offer is good this year as well. Bob

I'm at GAC 25, same goes for the parking of parts or butts, whether I'm there or not. Grabber Blue '70 Ford truck. There's usually something to drink in a cooler too.

Well, we've been swamped!! Hershey got 6 inches of rain today, been raining last 3 days too. Right now I couldn't get to Hershey without an airboat! ALL the roads are flooded, electric has been blinking, was off for 2 hours. The Swatara Creek was rising a foot in depth an hour a while ago, not expected to crest until tommorow afternoon. They are guessing five more feet of water. Lots of damage, lots of houses flooded.

Yeah pretty crazy out here. I'm here from Texas working hurricane Irene claims in the area and it just keeps getting worse. Total opposite of Texas' historical drought.

Anything going on before Hershey? Any shops or hangouts in the area? I need a hot rod fix!

Hope nobody was looking forward to Pizza Hut or Wendy's at Hershey this year.

Under all that water behind Pizza Hut is Hersheypark Drive.

The yellow field would be completely under right now. By my guess we are only about 4 feet short of Agnes depth. Last night I watched the water surround a tour bus across the street, rising a foot an hour for a while. This AM I can only see about ONE foot of the roof of that bus. This is bad!! Lots of homes are under. Terrance , hope you and your Dad are OK. ALL of our roads are closed. The little town close to me has lots of damage. It's not expected to crest until late this afternoon and it's still raining.

For those of you that know the area, the bridge on rt.39 close to the Giant Center is completely under. It was built about 1970 to be above all flood stages.

    From today's news.......

Hershey Park has taken on more water than they have in recent history. Hershey Pennsylvania has had over 9 inches of rain in a very quick amount of time. The streams, rivers, low lying areas and storm drains cannot handle all of the water.
As a result, Hershey Park has been submerged in several areas of the park. Zoo America is also under water. Two of the bison that are at the park have passed away as a resutl of the rising waters.
Hershey Park Drive has also taken on water. The road is completely closed. The Pizza Hut and Wendy's that is located near the park is completely submerged. The Hershey area will be closed for a while. Once the flood waters have receded, clean up efforts will take a while. While it may be the end of the summer season for Hershey Park, the park does not completely close down in the fall. There are Halloween and Christmas events held each year at the park. Hopefully the fun fall and winter events will still be able to take place at Hershey Park

:(:( Hope it dries out in time

  22. I have a great idea...if everyone that is going just send me $1.00, I will stay home and I can guarantee that it will not rain or snow !

I just got home from work. I got called in at 1AM. I work at a sewge treatment plant just west of Hershey. We started pulling what equipment we could and trying to seal the buildings. we pulled 2 out of 4 Raw sewage pump motors (150 HP) and another 5 smaller motors before we were forced to give up and shut the plant down,What didnt get pulled is now Underwater. All of the equipment in the plant is only months old and part of a $24M upgrade project. We are expecting the damages to be in the millions of $. The highest recorded flood level on the Swatara creek in Hershey is 16.1 Ft today it will crest at 27+ Ft. I will post some pics when I get them it's unbelievable

Skid, it's the entrance to the park, it's in the south west corner of the Red field, down the hill from the stadium, beside the entrance to Chocolate World.

  27. I lived in nearby Lebanon during Hurricane Agnes, this is NOT good news.

I had no idea the flooding in Hershey was so bad, check out the vedio links on the AACA Forum AACA.org. Hope everyone recovers and things are somewat normal for the Meet. Personally I'd open the gate at the Zoo and let the two buffalo roam the streets, rather than have them shot dead in the water.
