Went to my first Hershey. Saw some amazing things. Saw a lot of tarps over parts too. Walked 34,000 steps one day. I flew up from Atlanta and met my good friend Bill, who drove from Iowa. We trudged around in the pouring rain Tuesday afternoon for about an hour, not many vendors out. We arrived Wednesday at 6:45, ready to go. Too bad hardly any venders were! We wasted a lot of miles walking around with about 1 in 10 guys present and uncovered. Bill and I had long lists and cash in hand. Vendors present vs not present was improving. As the day wore on, some of the sleepy heads came out to sell. Thursday we were early again, since the weather was fantastic. Guess what, still hardly anyone wanting our money! We've never seen anything like it. Yes, as the morning wore on, and our feet were getting sore, most of the vendors showed up. Then we had to try to justify rewalking the whole thing, since many vendors had finally decided they actually wanted to vend. Pretty tough. Things were getting pretty good by about 2:30, then just like that, some people decide they had made enough dough, so they decided to leave! Again, never seen anything like it. I have been to swaps all over. Generally, people want to sell stuff. I don't get it. I think these guys do this whole charade to get away from the wife. Or maybe they go home after a week and complain that nobody's buying. I still need parts.

I found items I needed on Tuesday and felt I had an edge since I was one of the few tracking thru.

bought 26-27 roadster top bows for 400 $ and a roadster windshield frame for 80$ Which I found at 10am at the first vender across the entrance. Weird since these are getting much harder to find. Bought a Mcculloch supercharger on Thursday

Yup, as usual was there. Sold a lot on tues in spite of rain but had to call it a little early. Wed was slow but was a real good sale day eventually, again in spite of morning rain. Once the weather broke for thurs sold even more. Called it quits about 5p thur. No pics this year, didn't walk too much. Stayed and sold. Eves were at the RM auction where we shagged a sculpture and a cpl cars for 2 close friends and of course the social aspects. Actually a very good week except the $650 truck repair on the way. Sold enuff I almost don't give a shit.
