The Buick Skylark is totally outta' sight. Don't you love when someone, especially
entertainers with tons of money, do something good?

That's pretty cool. It's odd that they photographed so many of those cars with the bags aired up, but actually several of them look really good at a more realistic ride height. Like the "Voodoo Priest" Zephyr. But not like the Skylark. Those radial whitewalls need to be tucked under that body. Going to be a cool exhibit.

Didn't (doesn't) he have a pretty sweet t-bucket? I looked through the list hoping it was in the group. Lot of really nice cars.

He owned a bucket that Dennis McPhail built, Dennis ended up with it again a few years ago and tweaked and changed it some before it was sold. I want to say it went to Japan but I’m not 100% certain. Feel like I saw it in Moon eyes show photos a couple years ago

I read an article on him a few years back and he evidently has a pretty nice shop with equipment of his own and does a lot of work on his cars. At the time he was teaching himself to do custom metal work. English wheels. panishing hammers and all. He is not just a check writer! Larry

A good reason for me to visit the Petersen!

So, to be clear, he donated (gifted) the cars to the museum vs. loaning them for display?

I think since James moved he is trying to do more with his family. I first met him in paso ,we were both early birds having breakfast at joes. Nice guy, all I knew was his name was James, we talked about his Lincoln and headlight treatment. At the end Groucho told me about Metallica. Since I have met him a few times with Rick. And James friend Ray. I set rick up with the 32. I rode in it as a kid, it was the piasano brothers prior. I think caddy motor and quick change, at the roadster show I tried to explain it’s history to the guys from Georgia. But never talked to James about it.

I wonder if the Peterson is going to sell them.

  22. I read several articles, and I think they are on loan, from my understanding.
