I just picked up an 8ba, that was built years ago, that's been bored .060, has Johnson adjustable Lifters, and the guy I bought it from, said the previous owner said it had a Mickey Thompson Crank (?). Don't know what to think about this! Did Mickey Thompson do any Flathead stuff? Did he put his name on another manufacturers Cranks? Just curious! Any info would be appreciated!!

I have no clue! I'm gonna pull the pan off when I get a chance, and see if it reveals anything.
    Thanks

Mickey Thompson DID make rods and pistons for the flathead, so I guess there may be some limited amounts of cranks out there as well. He did race several cars with Mercury flatheads in them around 1952 at the flats.

Please let us know what you find. I'd assume if it is a MT crank, it's not stock stroke.
