Should work okay, if you're careful. I might put a couple of lag bolts into the 4x4, maybe in an existing hole. Good luck. Stu

Even a well bolted skid system will work. Drag the whole deal right onto a trailer?

    How far are you moving???
Anything farther than "down the street" rent/borrow a trailer.

i ran 5 inch bolts thourgh the frame and the wood at two spots the casters are okay but i think i need 4 in the rear instead of 2 and three up front instead of two right now you have to jack it up and turn the casters the way you want them to go hopefully that will solve the problem or if anybody wants to come over and help weld this beast together so i can quick put suspension back on her, that's the bad part all the peices except the boxing plates are laying in my garage waiting for weld, i hate not knowing how to weld yet!!!!!!

trying to figure what trailer will work best the move is prob. around 15-20 miles just hope it don't bounce all over and destroy the casters

That's why I asked about just having a wooden skid. Small casters might poke through a wood deck trailer. Casters on a steel deck will need lots of tie downs.

A wood skid on a wood deck will stay put with normal tie downs.

Get at least 4 of these and you'll be fine...(cross strap it)
They are 'Ratchet straps" or "Cargo straps" if you do use them.
There's a Home Depot in York.HD carries both 'lightweight" and "heavy duty" straps.
