I have a 2 door sedan 31 Chevy body that is topless that I want to build into an open air cruiser. I actually likes a lot of the stuff I looked at in the basement at Detroit so I want to build along those lines. It will be an all GM ride running a 350/350 drive train. I plan to build a rectangular frame. Now the hard part, what do I do for the front and rear suspension? I have kicked around a rear spring front setup with a 4 bar rear setup but I have not purchased anything. I am after suggestions from the HAMB pros, you guys know this stuff better than anyone else so guide me down the right path! I would like to do it in a 50's 60's fashion. I will use the car to haul my young grand kids around so it has to be a very safe build. Sorry guys even though I liked a lot of what I looked at I did see some scary stuff!
I'm no expert but i can use the search function , there is so much info already here for you to find ...... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/search.php?searchid=3875379
That would be great stuff if I was building a Ford. I will give the search function a whirl and see what pops up for a Chevy, I am no expert either but that might get me down the right path. Thanks!
It worked! A lot of stuff to review but thats part of the fun. Sometimes it is so easy to miss the obvious stuff lol! Thanks again!
