hey guys, sarah and i are going to be in the denver area for few days towards the end of august, roughly around the 20th i think as of now, though im sure itll endup shifting around by a few days by the time we get out there. any how, whats there to check out? whats going on? looking for some new digs so we'll be looking at apartments/ houses and what not but im sure i wont spend all my time there doing that, what fun would that be so whats up?

August 15th-17th our club (RoadKnights) have our annual rod run "Blue Light Special"in Loveland at "The Ranch", same place Good-Guys took place. This year is our 25th anniv. and it's shaping up to be a good one! 600 plus cars/trucks on sunday the 17th for sure!C'mon up, it's about 50 miles north of Denver right on I-25. On sat. we have a rod shop tour that takes place that's pretty cool, it goes to Pinkys, Scottys, and Custom Auto. They always have some neat projects going on.Good-Luck
The Hot Rod Ho-Down in Colorado Springs has been cancelled so you can rule that out. Talked to Herbie the other day and he has pulled the plug. Saturday August 23rd is the the Gunnison Car Show in Gunnison Colorado. It's a bit of a haul from Denver (about 200mi) but always a good time. Usually about 350-400 cars, an open show as Gunnison is a small town. Friday night we close North Main street for about 5 blocks for the cruise-in, there are food vendors and live music. This year the the band is The Rumblejetts from Kansas City. You can check out the show at: www.gunnisoncarclub.com After the show we throw a Lonely Knights party at my house. The party is a very HAMB friendly, inivitation only affair. ******** Rods & Sleds only. Any HAMB'er who thinks they might make it to Gunnison should PM me for the details. I will be in Denver this weekend my better half is giving a presentation at the american statistical societies convention............I will be finding hot rods to take pictures of instead lol. We will be in town from thursday till monday if anything cool happens.
