Just a little about me I'm old and been playing with Hot Rods most of my life. My curent ride is a 1932 Ford three window coupe hiboy. Black with flames 383 s/b 3 twos and a Vertex mag.Its a 4 speed with a 9" 3.50 rear. I drive it quite a bit. This year I went to York,Louisville,Pigeon Forge and Charlotte.Locally the Ocean City cruise, The Mobtown Grease Ball and many of cruise nights. On Thanksgiving Day I also put on The Pie Run In its 9th year. Its a invite only deal only because of space limitations and funds. Its a freebe for all who attend but it costs to put it on. Everyone gets a door prise, a goodie bag and all the coffee and donuts yuo need. This year we had 87 cars. It was a good time. Projects? yes I'm working on a 54 F100 done fifty's style. It has a Chevelle clip and a 10 bolt rear. I have a 1959 Pontiac 389 and 4 speed to replace the 400 s/b and 400 turbo. It will have quad canted lights and some kind of grill bar, wide whites and Dodge Lancers. Also in the works is a 1948 Cushman pro street scooter powered by a 18 horse Honda ohv. I am also trying to get some hamb calenders. Can anyone help?
Welcome to the HAMB from another gray beard. Sounds like you'll fit right in. How about some pics of your rides and work in progress?? For a calendar, email Denise at hotrodladycrusr@aol.com and I'll bet she'd be more than happy to help you get one.
Welcome. Talk to hotrodladycrusr she'll hook you up with a calendar. Hope to see ya at York next year.. steve-
Sheesh! It's about time! This is my Dad and the reason I have grease running through my veins. He's the real deal, immensely talented and quite witty. You can ask him all about the best ways to play pranks on your friends or embarass your teenage daughter too! Not only does he have these cars but there have been others before them including a 31 ford and a 47 Chevy that was my mom's daily driver. Here's the car, I don't have a picture of the truck or scoot but will get one... http://actiongirlart.com/dadscar.jpg Welcome to the hamb, Daddy-o Stacey
Dang, now I'm gonna hafta watch what I say..... Dad's in the house. Welcome Dad...Can we call you dad?
AWWWW!.....father daughter rodding - very cool - I can only hope mine skips the prissy and loves cars - HOWDY!
Looks like ya got plenty to keep you busy. I'm buildin' a '53 60s style (with a twist ). When (if) I make pigeon forge we'll have to park 'em next to each other. Welcome to the HAMB from one old fart to another.
Well this all new to me. I'll try to get better at this just don't holler at me like your mother does. See I'm not the only geezer out there. I'm wating on a reply from a lady about the hamb calender.
Welcome to the CrAzY HoUsE!! I've gone to York the past 9 years, although i've only had a ride there since 2000. I have a soft spot for deuce's, so chances are i've seen your'32, and probably took some pics of it.. even if i did, i always have room for more!! Rat...
Now, this guy's got his priorities together! The coupe has a 4 speed and flames....the pickup [which is cool to begin with] sports traditional Poncho power with yet another 4 speed! You are my new hero! Welcome and tell us, izzat "Greaser Girl" in the photo or a pro model?..
then there are the almost old. I'm one of those, caught in the middle between the geezers and the greasers...
Welcome aboard, being only 40 guess i am a semi-geezer, near-geezer, pseudo-geezer. Can't wait to see more pics of the truck and esp. the Cushman
The cushman is a roller that I bought in Hershey in 2002. Very rough, just a frame and forks with wheels.I made new pans and framed out a body out of tubing. It still needs to be skinned. I'm planning to french a 47 chevy light in the rear. The front wheel is chromed with www tire and chrome springs on the forks. The rear tire is one of those short fat pop up camper tires. Its about twice as fat as the front tire.Right now work has stopped to work on other peoples junk to finance this sickness.I will try to get Action Girl to get some photos of the truck and scoot.
FlamedCoupe is a stand up guy. At Hershey we bought too much stuff. We just happened to run into him. He lent us his truck to get our stuff out of the swap meet. It may not seem like much but to a guy with a ruptured disc in his back it was a life saver. I won't tell anybody about the hat with the BOOBs PackRat...he usually parked next to us or across the street from Scottytown Clark
Hey the boob hat helped make the whole Hershey thing a big party. I'll be there next year in the red field. Stop by if you need a truck or just a place to sit.
Stacey, this IS your mother, and there WAS a time I could have stood toe to toe with that hussy (LOL). I helped build EVERY hot rod that we EVER owned. I was an upholsterer for 15 years and did the rolls and pleats in the 32 , too. I had my own streed rod for 15 years (a sweet baby blue 47 Chebby convertible) that I "sacrificed" when YOUR daughter made her entrance. By the way, our granddaugher, Miss Lily, already has her first wheels. She has a gas powered horseless carriage with very, very bad brakes. The old man says no problem...you just have to plan your stops in advance!
Oh man Cushmans bring some bad memories back to me. Many years ago there was a guy at The Cabbage Patch during Bike Week had a Cushman with a nitroused Sportster engine in it. It wasn't his death ride that scared me, it was my wife posing topless on it. Welcome.
