I'm in Chandler this weekend...I might or might not be able to make it. Kind of depends on how the robots do today.

 

If we don't see you at the Royale, will we see you at the swap at the fairgrounds, Jim?

 

Hells Bells, I might be able to make it around 7pm or so. It would be cool to meet you and twist on your ear for a bit.

 

Headin' out in few minutes. I'll be a blonde guy in a Red Devils t shirt, Nick usually were overalls, and Bodi, well he just looks like a guy that should be named Bodi!

 

I am pretty much always wearing overalls, but I gotta miss out tonight boys. I cut my thumb pretty badly about 22 seconds before leaving work.

 

Ha! That was a ball! I don't know about you guys, but how 'bout once a month on the third Thursday at the Royale? Or maybe another joint... Got a place that also has a kick ass burger on top of Ambiance... Nice to meet everybody! Oh, and Hubcap, nice to see your car out and about, kinda like an old friend...

 

I didn't make it out of the robot thing till 8 tonight....oh well.

And my son's suburban started having electric problems.

 

Aw, we missed ya squirrel! We did have a member named squirrelnuts with us though (Hi John!)... If the guys are up for it, I'd like to this as a monthly thing.

That's what I call a good time. Good stories, killer little bar, and great food. You guys sure have created an awesome culture down here. Count me in for the next one if I'm still around. Nice to meet everyone.

 

I shoulda just grabbed some band-aids and headed down there... I'll stock up and be there next month for sure.

Hey guys! Just saw this thread again and had such a good time I thought I would propose making this a monthly deal... How about the third Thursday of the month? We can do the Royale again, or head out to other deserving dives of distinction...'Sides, I just wanted everybody to have a chance to see Bodi's picture above again!

 

I'm there! If John brings his bike again we can have our own bike show in the parking lot.

I do like that picture, but, I wish the car had lit up just a bit more. Still, a pretty killer scene. I'm cool with wherever you decide.

 

Bodi, had I known I would have pointed my headlight at the car instead of away from it! You can see my headlight in your picture shining off to the right.

I will be hit and miss on these gatherings but I think they are an excellent way to get to know guys!

 

No worries man. Shooting directly at a neon light in the dark while trying to capture something in the foreground is tricky.

I tried fiddling with the photos a bit, and ended up with a couple better versions. Made them a little brighter, and managed to get rid of that Kia.

 

I am digging on the Kia-less black and white version. And for whats it worth I about shit myself on your story about the "I don't know if you noticed but the 92 Custlass is mine" story. If that makes any sense.....

 

We gonna give this another go? The 19th looks to be the 3rd Thursday.

 

I will try to make it. Whats the venue? Too bad we can't have this gathering in the back alley of some speed shop? I am sure Chip knows of at least half a dozen that would work......

 

Lets do another on the 19th as Nick suggested. How 'bout this... A couple of us at that table have mini bikes, How 'bout bring them down and doin' a drink at the bar, then back to my little slice of hell about a mile away and buzz around the neighborhood a bit? My shop is so plugged with stuff right now that I really can't host the whole deal yet. but maybe the following month we can rotate over to my place and do the deal. Or ElPolacko's... Ya, semi drunkin' bar stool racin'... Steve would be up for that!

 

Or, just throwin' another idea out, How about a killer burger on the 19th complete with the dive bar atmosphere? Harvey's Wineburger at 16th st and Camelback is another favorite hang out that happens to have one of my favorite burgers...

Cruising Central is this weekend. Never been, but, I here it can be pretty entertaining.

The bar in the picture is The Royal at 16th and Oak. Cool place with a ton of history.

I've driven by the wineburger over there quite a few times. I figured it was some sort of inside joke. What's the deal?
