Hope all is good. Slowly but surely going after this '49 GMC 1/2 ton. If you recall I am the fella that bought your 270 and picked it up in the dead of night Anywhoo, brakes and shocks are done. Wiring harness should be here next week. Tearing into the 270 now to replaced tired 228. Plan is to polish ports, valve job, hi compression pop up pistons, dual exhaust headers, just got some eye candy Ellis dual carb intake with zenith carbs, high performance cam. Will retain legacy running gear just wanting some old school cool factor. As I make progress I will keep you updated. Trying to get it all done to go to Turkey Rod Run in Daytona in November.
