did you mount the generator on top of the intake manifold? that's where the 303 had it until they came out with power steering.i would do a search for a 303 gen.belt and see if that works-george (p.s.WTF chuck? [IMG])

I would get the generator all lined up and mounted solid in the middle of it's adjustment range, take an oversize belt, cut it and duct tape it together to fit, then take that in to your favorite parts store and match it up with the correct size belt for what you got going there.

    What Paul said!
I've got extra sets of pulleys (single groove) if you're stuck at all. [IMG]

Even a pce of string marked to lenth will do, then you jsut go compare to whats in stock at the parts shop.

I would do like Paul said, or like I did in the past: get an old too long belt that has the right "V" for the pulleys, Set the generator/alternator to about the middle of the adjustment range, cut the belt so it's a bit short, and punch a couple of small holes in each end, fit the belt onto the pulleys and put a piece of wire into the ends of the cut belt and pull the wires tight and twist them together.
Then, go to the old parts store that has been in business for a few decades and they SHOULD have a belt guage where they fit the belt over some grooves and expand it until it is toght, and the setting at that point will tell which belt you need.
