SCORE!!!!! I posted these pics a few weeks ago on the "sitting and rotting" thread, but thought I'd start a new thread about them as well. I've been messing with cars for 30+ years and this is the first time I've ever found a hemi out in the wild in its natural habitat. It's a 1958 Fargo, and I believe the engine is a 354. The odometer shows 15K miles, and the owner said it was driven to that spot and parked. I talked to the owner if he wanted to sell the truck and he hemmed and hawed a bit and said he'd think about it. I talked with him again today and he agreed to sell me just the engine. Woohoo!!!!! Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it'll be cool just having it sitting on a stand in my shop for the time being. I mean really...IT'S A FREAKIN' HEMI!! It's still too wet in the field to get at it right now, but as soon as I have the engine out and at home I'll post more pics.
Wow man, a dump truck, coooooll!! Nice score on the Hemi. Grab the #'s off of it, on the front just behind the water pump, easy to confirm it's identity.
I've got a (58?) Chrysler FirePower hemi with manual transmission still attached... Was going to use it in SOMETHING, but I doubt I'll ever get around to it. If anyone is interested, shoot me an offer and I might consider giving up the only REAL hemi I've ever owned.
C'mon now plodge55aqua, gotta be some Canucks heading down for the Auto Fair here in Charlotte next month!
