Here's the new guy.... just purchased a 68 swb f100 all stock with very little rust on it. Was doing some searches and came across this site. All the cars on here are pretty sweet and want to do a little of the same to my truck. Of course it has to get put low enough to s**** the skin off of an ant's **** first. Any suggestions are more that welcome. I was a big Mustang fanatic until coming across this beauty. And I know that I may be a bit out of my realm with not having one of these beauties like some of you have but hey.... got a family and only so much means so I will run with what I got.
welcome to the H.A.M.B, sounds like a nice truck you got your hands on, and a great story to boot! -josh
actually a longer story short... I own a daycare center with my wife and I was taking some kids to school and right ahead of me I saw an older man in only shorts and sandals infront of this older truck with the hood open and frantically trying to put out a fire that started when the carb back fired. After taking kids to school I stop back to see if I could purchase the truck after I saw how nice of condition it was in and just minor fire damage on top the motor. He was so upset that he said give me a ride home and we'll talk about it. Six hundred dollars later and a tow truck number and it was mine. Well she's been in my drive ever since. Weird thing though.... lowering options **** when it comes to these fords... unless you have a lot of metal, welder and the know how to do it... which is not me. So that's why I'm here... so any tips and suggestions will help. What would you say to a 68 ratrod? I really like this style and hey... why not have something different?
Welcome to the HAMB. We will be having a Meet and Greet next Saturday at the Springfield Swap. hope to see you there! Glenn
