Hey, I'm new to the board, and was told to do an intro, so here goes. My name is Jay, and I'm a member of the Vendettas C.C. in Raleigh NC. I am into mostly pre 1961 customs and rods, and currently I drive a chopped 54 chevy sled, with an old 350 thats been bored out, w/305 heads, and a weiand 4 pot intake running holley 94's. I also have a 55 dodge Royal lancer that is pretty much stock right now, except for the 270 hemi, with finned aluminum everything, and an offy 3 deuce setup (also holleys). I am about to build a 29 Ford roadster pickup, and any info/advice would be appreciated. Not real good at posting pics, but maybe I can get a friend that's already on the board to hook me up(right fatass).
That should keep the intro police happy! Nice intro, your rides sound KOOL, now get those pic's sorted. We like pic's
Welcome Jay. Sounds like a nice stable of tin (or lead, in the case of your custom). Hang around, you'll get your questions answered eventually. Yep, pics are a good thing.
Gotta love the intro police. How did I slip through the gaunlet when I signed up?! Here's T/A Jay's chopped Chevy: And here's my yard when the Vendettas stayed over the night before Goodguys: Some really cool guys. Jay's the source of El Slobo's engine. Drove the Trans Am all the way down from Raleigh just to hand it over to me for a 364 Nailhead. Is that "hot rodding" enough for the intro police? I'll dig up some pics of the Dodge here after I eat breakfast and beat the kids. Car won the best engine at HRW a couple of years ago, but the whole thing looks cool as hell. And I'd say use the Nailhead. At least it runs. Save the Caddy for your next hot rod (hmmmm, or a FED).

Welcome, Jay. I'm sure Mike has told you about the new-guy duties here. Yeah, you gotta find all of the hard-to-get parts we can't score in our parts of the world and send 'em to us for free. Don't worry, it only lasts for 6 months. It's well worth it. Now, go buy me a 6/71 blower setup for a 331 Chrysler Hemi. Thanks. ps- good lookin 54 chevy. Can Mike post a photo or 2 of your Dodge? I'd love to see the engine...
