If any of you guys hav'nt found a place to stay there's a place in Morgantown, Ky. about 20 mi. from Beech Bend that I checked with today that still has rooms available. Around $44. per night for 2. A buddy of mine put up there during deer season and said it was'nt bad. It's called Green River Lodge, ph# 270 526-6262. It's a dry county but next to Natcher Pkwy. and less than 20 minutes from a liquor store.
i'll be there right on the fence about 2/3 of the way down...right when you get on the gr***. i'll have my trailer set up with chairs under a pop-up, you're all invited down....you'll have to bring your own drinks though. i'm trying to get my 54 wagon ready to pull my model a. just bought nice 80's suburban/454 and 400 for $500 runs great. gonna put all that in the wagon and whatever else i can get from that thing. guess i'll be up late at least 1 nite this week. can't wait for the reunion. didn't go last year for nostalgia reasons, just didn't seem like it was goona even be close to the same feel as b.g. hope i can run my car this year, seems i never make it past tech, but it's made me keep improving the safety of my car each year so that's a good thing. think i got it this time. disc brakes, harness, roll cage man i hope i make thru. see you there!!! reggie
oh...anyone want that 6 banger and 3spd out of the wagon?? it runs great. i guess i could bring it with me if someone wants it and what and whatever else goes with it. it's a 1954 chevy bel air wagon. been sittin in this guys shop for the last 28 yrs. starts right up. reggie
ya right....i put a new clutch in but now i'm a little worried about finding the next "weak spot". i hope i don't nail it and end up on my roof...ha ha
Hey, Me, my brother and my father are going down again,(Car #120) but I have a couple questions.... First... Is there a time and place that H.A.M.B.ers are getting together or meeting up? Second... How will we know our fellow H.A.M.B.ers when we see them or their cars? (Sorry,I haven't popped for my alliance badge, decoder ring, and pledge pin yet.) Third, and most importantly...(and not really a question) This was the car Last Night (Sat. May 31st) We hope to drive it down there... Wish us luck! Not sure about all the other HAMBers, but Vicky I will be wearing our HAMB shirts on Saturday for sure at the cacklefest. Also, the coupe has a small HAMB sticker on each side. Look for it.
You don't have your secret decoder ring yet??!? What kind of HAMBer ARE you... In the past, we mostly ended up over in the treeline next to the river. Hotrodladycrusr is usually the anchor for the M&Gs(who CAN'T spot Big Olds?)....BUT... I think she's gonna be absent this year A bunch of us PoorBoys are on here, so if ya see one of us, just ask where Ryan's people are. oh yeah, and you're always safe talking to somebody in a HAMB shirt....well....almost always safe
Oh yeah. Barring some last minute disaster, we'll be there. Just a few odds and ends to finish up next weekend, and we'll load up the trailer. I'll be there Thursday morning at the latest. The rest of the guys roll in late that night. I'm going to need some help towing the car to tech. Anyone else going to be around Thursday?

I will be there on thursday look for me in the campground in the late model white Suburban. I will have lots of old magazines and other stuff. I will not get a booth as I will have my son. I will sell stuff in camp and when we go to the Holiday Inn on Thursday and Friday. We usually camp at the bottom of the hill as you come in. Pm me if you need more details
