Hi all! I'm new to this forum and well new to classic car owning in general! But just got a new girl and I'm ready to play with her! She is a 29 Model A ford roadster. Beautiful car, and a total barn find so to speak. I do have some great info on her, tho. She was rebuilt a bit in 1963, she has the orginal frame, 4 sp hydromatic Trans, a 1956 Cadillac, el dorado engine, 1940 rear end, with a rear suspension homemade by Truett..... And that last part has be wondering several questions! This car was owned by a gentleman down in Santa Ana, Ca and he did a lot of the work on it, but I can't seem to get any soild info on who "Truett" was. Now this rear suspension is a one of a kind build and it was installed to help give that downward torque and traction, to offset that big ole motor. And I know Bonnie Truett is known for his rear end builds and drag racing additions. But I don't know if this is the same Truett that is being credited for this interesting suspension! Does anyone happen know any info from that area, back in 63 thru 66??? Or how I can figure this mystery out! Thanks for any and all help! Rockelle 29
