Hi everyone! (Newbie to the board)

  1. My name's Jerry and I just purchased my first project car. It's a 1953 Ford Customline Tudor coupe, powered by an asphalt burning 215 c.i. 6 cyl. lol. The fella I bought it from said it was his Fathers car. He said it was sitting in a barn since 1969, in fact it still has a 69 state inspection on the windshield. His Dad was going to fix it up and get it running, but sadly he passed away.
I haven't got her running just yet, but I did manage to free the engine up by putting some oil and penetrating oil in the cylinders. I had a few stuck valves that finally came around. I'm just taking my time with her, gotta get a battery yet and some minor stuff.
Anyhow, I found this forum and from what I've seen everyone's pretty helpful and knowledgeful here. As a newb I'll be asking a lot questions.
