I've been negligent, but now I'll turn that around. A few posts down the road, it's now time to come clean. By way of introduction, I am a retired maintenance engineer building a '51 Merc coupe in the cl***ic old school style, 6volt, flathead with o/d, mild custom touches for the body. I've had the car since 1981, always sheltered, and now I have time and a few dollars so the project has come back to life. Been lurking awhile here and realized the astonishing depth of knowledge available here. I rebuilt my first flathead, a 50 Merc, in 1965, and have owned and built a slew of shoeboxes since, but I am humbled by the expertise found here. If I feel I can help, I'll be glad to share things I've found thru the years, and I certainly won't be shy asking for a heads up. I've filled out my bio, and look forward to meeting everybody. Fair winds......
