Hello all, My name is Paul Allen. I'm an engineer by trade, but growing up I first watched my older brother build cars and engines, then later helped him, and then did several myself. I'm from San Diego, but now reside in Colorado Springs, and volunteer at the Manitou Heritage Museum which used to be a garage with the earliest recorded date of circa 1915. I've had a few old cars in my life, the first being a 1955 Buick (put some friends in the trunk once and went to a drive-in ). I MUCH prefer old cars than new (I hate fuel injection and all the stupid computers - even though I'm an engineer).
Welcome. Thanks for the introduction. Hang out and get the lay of the land. I'm from N. San Diego county originally but now I'm up in Riverside county. I also owned a 1955 Buick convertible and used to sneak friends into the drive-in in Oceanside. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Welcome from Ohio. Find you another 55 Buick! Lots of them out there at reasonable prices. My first car was a 55 Special that dad bought new.It became mine in 1965. Drove that old Buick for 4 years with no problems, wish I would have hung on to it. I found one just like it a couple years ago so now every time I fire it up I am taken back to the good old days!
Yeah I second you find you another old Buick. Well partially because I got thing for Buicks. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
