Gooday, Thought I should say hi, I have a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger with a slightly modded Ford Windsor 302. I'm hoping to absorb some of the great knowledge on this site. I'm hoping the 1965 bit gives me an entree even tho it is only a bit of a hotrod (factory built one at that!). I also love my motorbikes (M900 Ducati and TE510 Husqvarna). I still have the old 260 that came in the Tiger, haven't touched it since removing it! I use my car in some of the local car club events like hillclimbs and "regularity/timed lap" style events. top loader - close ratio, with a 2.88 lsd! Loooong 1st gear! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzZptYCV6Ew&NR=1 3 wheeling the 1st corner....I've now had the front Koni shocks rebuilt!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L25fjMLSQMs On Sunday, we are having a Vintage Stampede at the localPerth road racing track "Wanneroo", all sorts of old stuff goes for a rip....great fun event run by the Vintage Sports Car Club - WA.It's going to be really hot tho and this will be a shame for my Tiger (or me)....it doesn't like 35C days much! One of the few problems living in the most isolated capital city on earth is that not many people here have first hand knowledge of old 60's V8s. Things like....how hot is too hot for a 302 Windsor?, What is the safe rpm for a std rod/crank with arp rod bolts....motor has been balanced.....etc. So I'm glad I have found this place and will lurk around and search the depth of wisdom here. I may even post some questions!! If any body comes over to Perth.....let me know! Cheers to all and very best wishes for Xmas and a great 2010!! David
