Hi everyone, I'm new around here so I just wanted to say hi and tell you all a little about myself. I'm one of those "New Generation Of Rodders" that you seem to hear so much about but never can find. I'm 19 and I live in Vancouver, Canada. I have a 1 owner 1962 Chevy Biscayne with 57,608 miles on it and a 283/powerglide, I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet so I'm open to opinions. My other car is a 1928 Es*** sedan that is currently residing in a field in texas where it has lived for the last 50 years. This summer my dad and I are going to go on a 2 week road trip down to Texas to bring it up! I plan on making it a 1960's style show rod with metal flake blue paint, kandy pearl firewall, white running board covers, radiar wheels and white walled cheater slicks, blue and white tuck and roll metalflake vinyl interior and a white vinyl sliding roof instead so that I can have a giant sunroof! and finally a fully chromed Hudson Hornet engine to keep it all in the family!!! Well thats about all that I've got to say so bye. littledeucecoupe427
Welcome. Good luck with your project. Built it the way YOU want it. You will probably take some heat for that approach but if that is what YOU want stick to your guns.
Welcome....w***up with the name? 427 Deuce coupe doesn't denote a hudson powered Es***...... What's a "running board?" Does that thing have something to do with a "fender"? Another mystery to me....mumble mumble..............

You have given a lot of thought into what you wnat the Es*** to become, **** not the Biscut ...just be sure to do it your way, and not worry about what others think you should do. I'm glad to see a young man like you involved and ready to work. Good Luck!
welcome to the hamb..sounds like you have a lot of work to ahead of ya!!! have any pics of the '62??post em..we would like to see them... craig
hey duece! i jus joined last nite myself.so anyhoo,i'm tryin to decide if you were brought up ol'school by dad or have too many LOWmagazines! if it's a bit of both, then i feel your pain brother!i've been there...actually i think i'm still there, let me check, yep still there!from one Canuckian to another! welcome.
Hey man! Welcome to the H.A.M.B.! Things are good here...and you'll meet some decent folks..and some whacky's, but thats cool too. Sometimes they have good ideas.....and sometimes...not so good! But 1 thing is for sure, you had better put up a pic of that little Jalopy of yours..before of the gang on here, (36threewindow) , just come and get her themselves!!! Welcome and enjoy, all the that is H.A.M.B. ....ps.......I don't remember ever doing one of these posts myself..........hmmmmmm...I guess thats what you meant, huh Poncho?
Wow!!! Thanks for replying everyone, made me feel great ! I will try to reply to all the questions at once so we will see how this goes but first off I forgot to say that I have got my own web site if any of you want to check it out its http://groups.msn.com/HotRodsCustomsandCarStuff I don't have any pics of my cars yet but I will try to take some and get them posted ASAP. I chose my screen name before I had either car because my dream car is a deuce coupe with a 427 ford. The "vinyl interior and a white vinyl sliding roof" refers to the fact that I am NOT going to fill the roof hole but rather cover it with the same fabric that I am using for the interior and put it on a rolling track that way I can pull the cover back and have a sunroof of sorts. I came up with the idea of doing the es*** in a 1960's show rod stlye because I haven't really seen anyone doing it and I like to be different. I hope I have everything period correct so if not or if something is missing would someone out there please let me know! And finally, Kojack- I would be intrested in that sunvisor for my 62. Thanks for bearing through that everyone, and its good to meet you all!!!
I belive it I can't decide if I want to use a es*** grill or a deuce one. Do you have any pics of that car?
Welcome and good luck with your Es*** project. As for the style go to a swap meet and pick up those old 60's hot rod magazines and start looking at the pics. Plenty of ideas in there and they're cheap.
