Hi, my name is Dave and I'm new to this site. I'm currently gathering parts to hotrod my '37 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. I'll be replacing the front and rear suspensions with Ch***is Engineering components to start off the project. I'm a bbc fanatic and although I know a sbc would be the sensable thing to do, I would like to hear from anyone who has installed a bbc into a late '30s chevrolet ch***is and get the pro's and con's of a bbc install.(fit or cooling problems and how they were handled.) This will NOT be a show car. I intend to drive the tires off this thing once it's legal enough to p*** the state inspection. So to all I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Welcome from North Dakota, I've got a '37 master two door but intend to run an updated six. I just like the nostalgia look. Let me know how the ch***is engineering stuff works. Mine has the straight axle and I was thinking disk brakes and keeping that. Down the road I may switch the rear end with something newer. Good luck and post pictures
