Took the side panels off the 30 Tudor but was a little stumped on how to hold hood down without side panel latches...here is what I came up with...actually works very well. Had to remove the 2 center sections of the hood hinge, then took 1/4 in rod, turned one end of a 1/4" rod to a bullet point the slid into place on hood with spring and spacer. Drilled 1/16" hole in Rod and ***embled. The spring keeps the rods tight and will not back out thanks to 1/16 x 3/8 split pin. The results are great. the spring tension holds the pins in place and also allows the finger pulls to by spun and hidden. receivers were made from stainless angle iron and held I'm place by the welting screws. To unlatch, reach under hood, rotate finger levers down and slide rods toward center of hood. Not much of a tech guy but thought someone else may be struggling with how to hold their hood down so here is how I did it. Ron
That looks better than what I used on my old model A,,I use a bungee cord from one side to the other under the hood tops,,it worked but was very appealing to the eye. HRP
