High pressure fuel pump

I bought a MSD 2225 fuel pump for my 5.0 EFI project and it failed with in 6 months and they will not warrany it. I found a external pump that looks the almost the same and it is listed for a 1988 Lincoln Town Car 5.0 EFI, Does anyone know if this pump will supply the 5.0 with the proper fuel pressure or is this just a booster type pump for the in tank unit.

 

There probably are some numbers stamped on the pump housing. Let us know what they are.
