High School Auto Shop Makeover... We need your help!

    Sure seems a little suspicious that they suddenly got about another 2000 votes at the very end out of nowhere. Maybe the audit will catch any shenanigans like that if any.

    That sounds typical. What happens is the administration tells guidance not to encourage kids to "sign up" for shop classes. The teacher is told there is "low enrollment" and therefore no justification for the course. Without enrollment the teacher is surplussed and the program dies. Then the program tools and equipment gets "cleaned out" by anyone who has access to the shop. PE will win out over vocational programs every time as it brings "glory" to the school.

    That's not always true. A lot of the younger generation has no interest in shop. I can't talk my younger brother into it.
    When I was in high school, we didn't have the option, so I took the agriculture classes, which was the next closest thing. Took some in middle school though which makes no sense....

    I just check it out and they came in 2nd place to old bridge high school in nj. Sorry guys you should have won. Hope this don't stop you guys from working and building cars.

    Im real glad. Sure 25 would be awesome, but fuk it! 10K these days is a lot of dough.
