Hill country show & go drag race may 3rd !

I can't make it this time, fellas. Wifey is having a birthday, and I am up to the damn gills with work all the sudden...on top of that, I finally making serious progress on the Tudor, and don't want to lose that momentum.

Be safe, and someone please get a sunburned neck for me. (this is the event where I typically define my Farmer tan.)

and remember, fellas- a fresh prepped track is a slick track. and it rained it's ASS off there last night. hopefully there is some racing going on this weekend to settle it down a bit, but the point is- make as many shakedown passes as you can, find your groove, and absolutely, positively, DO NOT STAB THE GAS if you get a little loose and have to lift.

 

Tell You what. If you can outrun D.W., You are a hero. until that happens, You're nobody. Especially considering You're talking about a guy that runs low 11's at the track in question in a model A.

 

Sorry Casey. I haven't missed this event in 3 years or more but Laura & I won't make this one. We will miss your victory doughnuts. They were pretty spectacular @ DOTD.

 

I will miss this event. My brother's gettin hitched. All you HAMBers hold down the fort. I plan to be back with a vengence at D.O.T.D. Lugnut II, Satan's Ride, and Built4Speedsince79, I will miss you. I should be "Nose up" by October!

So who is going?????????? It would be a bummer to have to race Casey for 42 times!!!

 

Nostalgia racing=1/4 mile+chrismas tree+wooden bleachers. Wood is much better on the tush than aluminum. Looks like a great time in a great place. Maybe next year.

 

Me and the pops are gonna head out early Saturday. Not sure if the sedan will race, Still limping along. Oh well did not build a race anyway

....Casey, as you now know, I've got a twisted axle on the Q.C. rearend.....one of those old timey 38-41 axles, that come off the car when it comes apart....so, folks, I'll be coming up to watch Casey run "heads up" against all of the other cars....WHOOPS, I meant bracket race...hahaha.
Got the rear end out of the 3w, and will be converting over to 9" Ford axles(sorry Pol, I know its not traditional)....I'll be on for the DOD in the fall......and maybe another place that has a different texture to run on as well, before then.

Hey Doc, load the car on the trailer with all the parts and tools needed to fix/replace the transmission, go out to the hotel on Friday night and fix it in the parking lot while everyone drinks beer. What could be more traditional than that?

doc thinks he`s going to make it . I bet he`s working on it right now.
not sure about my motor it had a sound I did not like ?
I think I fixed it ? will be listing to it closely ? or just run the hell out of it like normal !

But All the Smack you kept talking last year about turning my lil model a pu "kermit" into a sail frog has been remembered and hopefully just hopefully i can drag my ass out to DOTD this year and we can line up "Big Kermit" (the A Sedan) and that lil duece and do some playing.........
