Da Edsel is a kruuuuuusier, not a racer (she's a lover, not a fighter ;)), but plans ARE in the works (long term plans, of course ) to build a "go fast" car. . .After seeing Joyce and Deb racing, I wanna play toooooo!!!

    See y'all in the a.m.!!!

Oh, wow! How fitting. Congraduations Skot.

  14. It was a perfect day to be at that drag strip Sunshine, blue skies, 80 degrees and a lot of good people and hot rods. My brother took some photos of "Collin's last ride" so to speak. Two shots of his ashes being scattered going down the track and a shot of some of them that were left at the starting line. I'll email Ryan and ask if he thinks it would be in poor taste to post the pics. If he gives the go-ahead I'll try and post them on Tuesday. I don't know why anyone would consider them to be in bad taste but he had a lot of friends here and I sure don't want to upset anyone.

  15. Shoot Fire, that was Collin Casey's request:D....and I am very pleased that we were able to use my ol 32(Flathead powered, of course:cool:) to spread them!!!
I have hsd the pleasure of doing the same from the Biplane for others over an area that was "special" to that person....and Little River was certainly special for Collin(most folks just get planted in the ground, and they weren't "gardeners:rolleyes:"). This just "flat out fit" 'ol Collin. And I want to say "Hats off to the Track Crew and HCSR" for allowing this to occur!!!
I would hope that nobody would be offended by us pulling off such a cool way for "Collin to make a last pass" at his favorite Drag Strip:cool:.

  17. Thanks guys:D....This award was the coolist thing I could have recieved today!!!. 'Ol Collin and I go back a few years, and we would constantly have our verbal argument over Heads up vs Bracket racing:rolleyes:(up to 2 days before he passed on) and to have had the honor to be able to have had a part of spreading his ashes at "his bracket race" and then to be the recipient of the Torq's special award just put the whole thing over the top for me......THANKS GUYS:D!!!!....
    What a cool day:cool:!!!

Good day, very fitting tribute. I think I heard Casey laughing WITH me, giving me a bad time for being a dumbass, as I sat on the side of FM 487 waiting for my wife to show up with her truck & our trailer to pick up the roadster after I blew the engine up on the way home from the drags today.

I agree with you Skotz - no way to call that in poor taste;) You & Kelly did exactly what Collin requested and The Hill Country Street Rods & the track crew gave the opportunity. My hat off to to everyone involved. There is nothing else that would have been as fitting! So proud myself to have been there and to know that Collin's wishes were carried out and to have had so many there that loved him! Kudo's to all there today and goodbye to our friend. Gone but never forgotten - Love you Collin!

It was a very good day and I'm proud to have given the trophy to SKotz, and he earned it proper (racing and making laps...maybe not 40 but close enough) Seeing him and Kelly spreading ashes down the track while his uncle was in the tower playing taps was emotional. I feel very lucky to have known Collin and will never forget him, his banner will hang in my garage and go to every race i go to.

Marc, sorry your day ended so quickly... i was honored to help and will do so anytime you'll have me.

After a damp start, was a great day. Lots of fun, lots of great cars. A fitting tribute that I think helped bring some closure to Collin's close friends. I've been attending that event for quite a few years now, and hope to keep doing so in the future.
