Working on the Vicky doors and I'm having difficulty finding a source for .280 hinge pins, (the common deuce ones). I've gone to all my usual sources, Macs, Snyders, etc. and everybody seems to be out of stock with no idea of when they will arrive. Does anyone have a source for four that has them on hand?
Joe's lists them. not sure if they're in stock or not. https://www.joesantiqueauto.com/door-hinge-pin-b-7022840-l
Try United Pacific. I got a On Sale E-Mail from them a few days ago and there were several different kinds of deuce hinge pins listed. Also Bob Drake as standard and over size pins listed on his site.
Vickys used .280 pins for their two hinge doors like a deuce. Just another of the many things they share with their '32 cousins. All Model A's are .250 or so. The ones from Bob Drake are .340 which is an option and they are steel pins, not stainless, which is my preference I actually had a car come in with the stainless galled in the hinge center due to lack of lube. I'm hoping I can find some in stock so I can finish up the doors next weekend. If not I'll just work on some other stuff until they come in somewhere. I'm running out of Winter to get this ready for road so I'm a tad 'antsy"! As always, Thanks for the help guys.
Auveco products. All my fasteners, hinge pins, etc. keep coming in these boxes. They're the main supplier it seems. check out the online catalogue
