Someone told me I better intro myself before I ask any questions lest I get my**** lit up ... I'm a middle aged fat guy from from Phoenix with grand plans to scratch build a Track T style car. Reads low and FAST! I want something traditional (quick change, hairpins, drop front, etc.) looking but also something that'll perform and handle. My objective is to give the local ricers a look at my lilly white***** through a fog of blue smoke! I guarentee it won't sound like a fart in a soda can.

    What's a Deyo?

I have a BAT (AZ Limo) but nothing rusty and older than my ancestors ... yet!

    Thanks for the welcome, y'all!

Sven, it's good to see you here.

For those who haven't met him, Sven is a real hot rod enthusiast who works at the GM Proving Grounds.

Stop by the shop when you have time. Things have come a long way since we last saw each other.

I think it has something to do with a Harry Belafonte song.

Nope, not at all, it's more like, "25 Cents off of Day-O bread."
Anyway, where you been hiding in Phoenix? A bunch of us usually meet on Friday nights at the cruise they do on 35th Ave and Northern, and I'm usually at Pavillions on Saturdays.
My dreams have been of 20s styled Bobtails and the like.

The GM Proving Ground dude isn't me, dude. Sorry. But I'll still look out for you guys at a cruise or something.

I've been interested in tinkering with cars my whole life but I've never built one from scratch. So, what makes me think I can? My over-confidence and arrogance gets me into all kinds of trouble.

Gettingreasy is building a death machine from scratch and Deyomatic aspires to do the same.
Come out to the cruise nights and look for the HAMB shirts, say hi
I should have my truck at the pavillions this weekend.
