    Hi all,
I'm really hoping for some back ground on my jalopy, I bought it about two and a half years ago, am beginning to make progress which I shall update on here as I go.
But for now if anyone recognises this 1931 Model coupe, I'd love to know more.
Here's what I know so far. It had a California title, number was 3QJZ 081 issued in 2015 in Yuba City.
It's a 1931 A coupe with a 6” chop that looks like it was done years ago with some lead work and repairs to lower body, it had a stock four banger and trans, but was also fitted with an electric overdrive unit half way down the torque tube. Standard axles, juice brakes, an E-Z Steer box and original style wires with white walls. Still had running board brackets, no floors or interior at all. Trunk, not rumble seat, the back end appeared to have been painted red at some time. Also it looks to me as if it has been joined just behind the hinge posts, so I think it’s two bodies joined together, the top few inches of the firewall have been grafted on too. Progress is slow but I’m building a traditional rod, with 24 stud flattie, ’40 juice brakes, ’36 rear axle, wire wheels, Model B truck grille, when time allows.
A few pics of when it arrived just in case anyone recognises it.

Any info would be very welcome.

Looks like some wire welding blobs on the top, so the chop is probably not "vintage". Also, might want to research EZ Steer here on the HAMB before you put too much confidence in it. Other than that, looks like a fun project. Keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks for the warning on the EZ box, I got rid of all the running gear apart from the rear spring and bones last year. I'll put some pics on soon.
