hit by car, pray for me

I was hit by a car yesterday while riding the 71 schwinn, hit head on, flew through the air,back is partly
_broken wanted you guys to know, prayers needed

What are the laws in Georgia,,South Carolina law is a bicyclist must travel in the same direction as the rest of the traffic,,head on is scary,I hope you heal up soon. HRP

 

sorry about your bad luck quick heads up though if you came home from work or going to work you can get workmens comp. only a little more than half your pay but its better than nothing

 

Man, sucks to see youre hurt. But at the same time, if you were "almost killed" and able to sue/post here the next day you must recover like superman. I've had patients in my hospital take months to be able to speak after bicycle accidents.

 

Keepin' a good thought for ya sir! I was hit on a '48 Schwinn Phantom about twenty years ago too. Recovery sucks, but just take your time and take it easy.

that sucks. I'd say I've put at least 15,000 miles on various bicycles over the years, luckily I never got hit. came pretty close on more than one occasion, I used to keep a big buck knife under my seat for those who were offended by my middle finger.

 

I ended up flying through the air and landing on my head, could have been paralized spine is messed up

What difference does that make?

I'd consider it some form of therapy. The O.P. can lay in a hospital bed, stare at the walls and worry about their condition, or they can be yaking to us and feel a little better doing it.

I know a guy that was in a motorcycle wreck. He talked up a storm 5 minutes after being hit because his mouth wasn't damaged but his pelvis was.
