Here's a short video by the ABC on a car show in Hobart Australia from 1973. Also features a nice T bucket at speed. And some bad hair... https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-02-09/vintage-cars-and-a-whole-lot-of-chrome-at-auto/13684162
That was an interesting 5 minutes. T bucket sounded good . Hotrodders wearing ties and turtlenecks , were,nt they called MODS back then ? In Australia i remember Mods, Rockers, Surfies , Bikies .
What I like is the difference in respect to another person. When they are being interviewed they make eye contact with the interviewer. These days when talking to someone the eyes stray to whatever is going on around them or to the bloody 'phone in their hand. I was taught young to speak to a person's face . It's polite.
That's a cracker of a film clip! Thanks for digging that up! The "Mods" used to get around on Vespa or Lambretta scooters. Around here a lot of the hot rodders were "Rockers"!
Don't forget Bodgies and Widgies. My old man was a Bodgie in the early '50s. He still has the (very thin) hairstyle. haha
