Hokey Ass Engine Stand

    I needed to change the oil pan on my 64 van, which entailed removing the crossmember. It would have been really hard to get a hoist in there so I made up this. I felt about 93% safe laying under the motor

    Should work fine, but maybe put a safety chain or ratchet strap around the motor incase your welds fail or something goes wrong, but I'm betting you'll be fine. Let us know if your face meets the crank ;)

    Thank-you for posting this tip. I have been working on my 65 Dodge Van and was not to sure how I was going too proceed. Your idea was my solution. Thanks Ter409:)

    BADPAT...I'am more interested in the intake manifold, brother if it's aluminum i wouldn't trust it 7%...POP.
