I’d like to know if the clutch linkage from a ‘56 Mercury will work on a ‘55 Ford, parts include clutch and brake pedal and equalizer bar with brackets. I have the Mercury parts but they look different than the Ford parts that I’ve looked at in pictures.

that's one of the things that they don't list in Hollanders, unfortunately.

I used the manual trans stuff out of a 56 Ranch Wagon in my 56 Montclair wagon. Everything worked OK except the trans mount didn't work.

    That was in 1970.....

I don't think my 1965 Hollanders book was "compiled by computer techs" :)

I have Hollanders going back to the 30’s. The word ‘computer’ hadn’t been invented.
As for the question I am sure more answers from those who have done this before

the way we linked inventory was...the guys working there knew what was in stock, and there was a "hot line", and when someone would ask for a part, you wanted to be the first yard to let them know you had it.

I've got the early 70's Hollander that was in the high school auto shop when I started teaching in 1978. I'd imagine that it was donated by a local business. It was one of those things that because it was an old book I figured would end up in the dumpster.
