My Hollander lists the 49 and 50 as the same...

54 6 cylinder and the 54 8 cylinder starters are different from each other and the 49 - 50 also.........according to Hollander.

Hollander only lists direct interchanges.......so it might work.........but I have only had 1 Mopar........a 1963......

So I am so not help with the MOPAR....stuff

    :)

If it's a 6 going on a 6, it should work. If it's 6 going on a V8, it *might* work, but the gear teeth may need to be interchanged, or it may bolt up completely differently.

Nope. The following 6 cyl only are direct interchange
    51-54 Chrysler
    51-54 DeSoto
55 Dodge truck with the HM engine.

Hollanders lists armature interchanges but you have to ID the # stamped on it.
