Got the new carb yesterday (5 days for overnight delivery) and i set to and fitted it, made new fuel line, vacuum advance and PCV lines. Gave it a quick road test between rain and what a difference!! Very smooth and responsive and when on wide throttle it winds out faster and keeps going.
Conclusion is that i think vacuum secondary carbs are a waste of time (some will disagree) and not everyone stomps on the the gas at low speeds and bogging the engine but i find this carb. very nice to drive with in all situations.
Thanks for all the input guys, i have learnt a lot about vac. secondary operation as i always thought the vacuum side of it was manifold not venturi velocity. JW
