Hey all....my 51 Mercury is still running the Holley 885 carb...I have developed a leak at the fuel inlet fitting...I have replaced the fitting the copper washer multiple times and slowed for a little bit but now I'm back to where I started. Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong or any tricks on fixing it? Thanks....still learning all of this stuff as this is my first classic car....

Yeah, that's a weak spot on those carbs. The threads get stretched and don't seal properly. If you overtighten it will get worse. You might try some gasoline-proof thread sealant, or eventually drill and tap it for a new fitting, or get another carb that you hope is in better shape, or swap carbs for something different.
