    Gashog, the best spring to use is the 2" narrow spring that sleeves the pump connecting rod. They are found as OEM on some 2100's and 2110's.

    Dickster, you mean you add an extra one of those under the pump?

    No, the 2" long spring is factory. that spring in your picture must be from a previous rebuild or something. Get a good carb kit and it will show you what spring. If you dont have onee you will have to get one from another carb or a reputable partas dealer.

    I got some 94's (8BA) that have that spring in them. I thought it was factory, but have seen some of them without it.

    I use both in all my carb rebuilds.
