Considering this manifold setup for my 327. It runs and electric fuel pump and my biggest concern aside from tuning the carbs is setting up the kickdown for the TH350 auto on the truck. Before I drop the coin for the setup I want to make sure I can get this to work.
350 can be driven without kick down with no damage, get the linkage hooked up and mount the cable off the linkage.
Yeah I know - but I prefer it with the kick down. I would assume you would mount it to the left side rear carb linkage. I just want to make sure I can do it before dropping the money for this setup as it isn't cheap.
On multiple carb setups with the auto trans I've cooked it through the firewall to the gas pedal with some bracketry
It currently has a kick down on the Edelbrock 600 on the car now. I would assume that bracket won't work - and I've been looking online - but is there a specific bracket for the 94's or will I simply have to make my own?
i don't know all the years chevrolet put the kick down cable in the firewall with the gas pedal but the ot 1973 impala had it. the pedal had a double hole, and a different style cable that hooked into the firewall just above the throttle cable. if i remember right no brackets either.
Current carb and manifold are Edelbrock. The TH350 is shifted by a Lokar shifter. Not sure of the brand of the kickdown. The first pic is my existing setup. The second is the setup I'm considering buying.
I need to take a look at the Holly 94 linkage and see if there is a way to hook up to it. Mounting the cable to the manifold will be pretty easy, but getting the right amount of leverage to pull the cable upon throttle application might be tricky.
